TacoBob's Custom Garage

Behind the Builds

Every custom build has a story, and this is where I'll tell it.

The Garage Journal is a behind-the-scenes look at what's happening at TacoBob's Custom Garage. From current projects and new techniques to tools, photography, and the occasional mistake, I'll be sharing the journey as the garage continues to grow.

Not everything goes according to plan, and that's part of what makes building things interesting. Every project is an opportunity to learn something, improve a skill, and create something better than the last.

This page isn't just about finished cars. It's about everything that goes into creating them.

Welcome behind the workbench.

Recent Garage Updates

October 2026 — Building the Brand and the Garage

It's been a busy few months behind the scenes at TacoBob's Custom Garage!

One of my biggest projects lately has been developing a more professional identity for the business. I've been updating the website, refining the branding, improving my photography, and working on how finished customs will be packaged and presented.

I've also been developing three distinct custom lines: Mainline Customs, Signature Customs, and Premium Showcase Customs. Each will offer something different while maintaining the same commitment to craftsmanship.

At the workbench, I'm continuing to experiment with techniques, improve my finishes, and work toward building inventory I'm proud to offer for sale.

But there's another big project happening outside the garage.

My wife and I recently purchased 20 acres where we're planning to build our new home, including a dedicated workshop for TacoBob's Custom Garage. Having a proper space for painting, building, photography, and shipping will open up a lot of possibilities.

There's still plenty of planning and work ahead, both for the business and the new workshop.

For now, I'm concentrating on building a strong foundation rather than rushing products out the door.

Big things are being built, both on and off the workbench.

The future home of TacoBob's Custom Garage. Twenty acres of possibilities, and the beginning of a whole new chapter.

June 2026 — The Garage Goes Live

TacoBob's Custom Garage officially began taking shape online!

After plenty of planning, I started bringing the website, social media channels, and custom diecast projects together under one brand.

What began as a passion for building, painting, and creating things by hand was becoming something bigger.

There was still a lot to learn and plenty of work ahead, but the foundation was being laid.

Every garage has to start somewhere.

What's Next for TacoBob's?

There's a lot happening behind the scenes, and I'll continue sharing updates as projects move forward.

Expect more custom builds, experiments with new tools and techniques, improvements in product photography and presentation, and updates on the future workshop.

As new projects reach important milestones, I'll add them to the Garage Journal so you can follow the progress.

In the meantime, check out the Gallery for photos of my work and visit the Shop to learn about upcoming custom releases.

The best builds are still ahead.

Thanks for following along!
